Basic Function:


Manage small to medium projects and initiatives within the IT portfolio. Communicate and collaborate effectively within a matrix organizational structure. Learn and adhere to client processes to ensure project artifacts and deliverables meet client standards.


Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to uphold project scope and objectives.
• Use project management best practices to guide projects with stakeholders and/or business partners.
• Deliver projects on budget with desired outcomes, forecasting financials and communicating variances to sponsors and management.
• Articulate problems, bring the right people together to solve them, and ensure issues are properly addressed and closed with appropriate urgency.
• Conduct weekly status reviews with project teams, providing updates on timeline, project health, accomplishments, and upcoming tasks.
• Maintain project governance with regular status meetings, reports, stand-ups, and review sessions to keep the team organized and moving towards successful project closure.
• Monitor projects for risks, actions, issues, decisions, financial viability, and opportunities for sustainable improvement. Understand end-to-end and cross-functional impacts, formulating and implementing solutions.
• Update project forecasts, submit accruals, and reclassify expenses to maintain project financial standards with input from project leadership.
• Facilitate strategic meetings and follow up with meeting minutes.
• Define, teach, and enforce good project management practices within the project team.
• Communicate frequently and consistently to keep teams aligned and progressing, while respecting and upholding team dignity.
• Encourage and support escalations, communicate project milestones, status updates, and potential issues. Follow escalation and change control processes proactively.
• Promote good working relationships across projects, developing trust and communication among stakeholders. Coordinate cross-functional project teams for seamless delivery.
• Engage in building consensus, developing contingency plans, and providing recommended solutions.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle.
