Security Service Technician at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Irving, Texas

Job Description:

This position is responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting security systems.  Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer. Must have the ability to work independently on customer sites.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *

* Conduct routine system testing and inspections

* Install security systems or appropriate devices

* Dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as needed

* Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs

* Make connections and required adjustments

* Conduct site surveys upon request of management

* Keep manuals and all details up to date

* Report on activities completed

* Complete service and status reports accurately and in a timely manner

* Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service)

* Perform other duties assigned by management

*Education & Qualifications: *

* Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the security industry

* Proficient knowledge in servicing and installing security systems

* Relevant industry certifications highly desired

* Ability to operate hand and power tools, company machinery and company vehicle

* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

* Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work

* Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments

* Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy

* Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
