EGC Construction, a subsidiary of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a Process Piping Estimator to join the team at our Northern KY corporate office. This position plays a key role in the pre-construction phase by analyzing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with engineering, procurement and project management teams. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have commercial or industrial estimating experience and the desire to grow and advance into a leadership role within the organization.

What You Will Do:

• Estimating and cost Analysis:
  
  
  • Review project drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine project scope.
  
  
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for process piping systems, including material, labor, equipment and subcontractor costs.
  
  
  • Perform take-offs and quantity estimates using software tools.
  
  
  • Conduct risk assessments of potential opportunities.
  
  
  
  


• Documentation and Reporting:
  
  
  • Prepare and present cost estimation reports.
  
  
  • Maintain a database of historical project costs, material prices and labor rates.
  
  
  • Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client expectations.
  
  
  
  


• Perform schematic, design development and construction document estimates for our Design Build and Construction Management projects. This includes budgeting all scopes of work, value analysis of current design, communication with and presentation to Owner and design team.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.


• 5+ years of experience in process and utility piping estimating or related roles in construction or industrial projects.


• Proficiency in estimating software (ex. Sage and OTS, Bluebeam)

Abilities:

• Possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities


• Honest, reliable, dependable and display good character


• Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50lbs., seeing and reading
