THE POSITION: MERCERWELL SUMMER ASSOCIATE
Mercer's 2,500+ US Health consultants deliver disciplined, consistent approaches to benchmarking, data analytics, financial management, marketing, compliance and communication. With over 90 consultants nationally, the MercerWell team works with clients to address the health of their employees globally- including strategies to improve quality and access to care, program delivery of population health management and organizational change management supporting employee engagement in health management programs.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE
Collection and analysis of data, summarizing and documenting information for client presentation purposes
Learn about and utilize industry leading tools in the development and execution of client work (e.g., HERO Scorecard, RFI database, Mercer survey data)
Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of a clients
Assist senior consultants to review client needs, suitable approaches and implementation strategies
Learn and understand the population health management marketplace and how a consulting firm evaluates clinical appropriateness/effectiveness
Interact with wide spectrum of vendors and other partners that support our clients' health and benefits strategies
Support MercerWell subject matter experts with content development and client delivery
Gain understanding of MercerWell suite of products and support MercerWell product team with delivery of solutions
Hybrid position; 3 days in office per week
WHAT WE VALUE
Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office- specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Passionate about population health and improving member experience
Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Intellectual curiosity; seeking opportunities to develop new skills and apply critical thinking to solve problems
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate with others in a skillful and engaging manner
Flexibility to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing client needs
Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Progress toward a Master's degreewith a desire to work in Health Consulting
Status as a currently enrolled student; candidates should have an expected graduation date in the Fall of 2024 or Spring 2025
Record of top academic achievement(Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0)
Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future is required
