Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Training Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Team!
Utilizing subject matter expertise to develop and support training materials for the Clarke Simulations Center at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) in Ft. Moore.
The mission is to provide initial and sustainment of MC Digital Training Instruction to Programs of Instruction (POI), Tenant Units, and Supported Non-Tenant Units that train at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), Clarke Simulations Center, at Ft. Moore.
Specific Responsibilities
Provide initial and sustainment Development Support for the MC Digital Training Instruction Programs of Instruction (POI), Tenant Units, and Supported Non-Tenant Units that train at the MCoE
Maintain a working knowledge of the currently used Live, Virtual, and Constructive-Gaming Simulation Software (LVC-G) applications and/or its replacement is required
Revise digital training and exercise support materials for MCoE instruction of assigned MC, C2, and constructive exercise systems within ten working days after OPORDs are received
Provide modeling and/or animation support; the modeler/animator shall apply knowledge of the technological capabilities and limitations associated with modeling and texturing for gaming solutions in support of the proponent school education needs. Modification of existing scenarios and supporting documentation for Live, Virtual, Constructive-Gaming Simulation (LVC-G) systems to support scheduled classes or exercises as prescribed/required by the Government, and within ten working days from the time OPORDS are received.
Develop and maintain, in a current state, a detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which provides a working reference for both the conduct of daily business and support of digital training, MC constructive exercises, and Live, Virtual, Constructive-Gaming (LVC-G) systems, IAW the PWS and following the format used in the MCoE Simulations Training Division SOP
Develop and support integrated and immersive tactical (training) exercises to the Brigade level using available Live, Virtual, Constructive- Gaming (LVC-G) systems
Provide Live, Virtual, Constructive-Gaming (LVC-G) integration support, analyzing student performance during LVC-G training and/or exercises, through every phase of each mission. In this context, the contractor provides verbal and written advice, counsel, and assistance to exercise unit operations personnel before, during, and after LVC-G exercises, and additionally provides feedback to the student using the AAR process IAW TC 25-20 at the completion of the exercise
Develop and support integrated and immersive tactical (training) exercises to the Brigade level utilizing current and/or future Command and Control (C2), Emerging Requirements (ER) systems, Next Generation Constructive Systems, Synthetic Training Environment (STE), both Mission Command (MC) and/or Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) client and server application systems and/or their replacement(s).
Use Government provided terrain to construct a formatted DXTRS user playbox, maneuver network, DTED readable format compatible with DIS standards.
Build, reformat and manipulate geographic information system (GIS) source data for imagery; build, add or modify imagery features 3d modeling not contained in source data to produce gaming terrain data sets (playbox) to support proponent education requirements
Apply scripting language to augment and enhance behaviors; create simple functions in a client scripting language.
Manipulate gaming application software to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) actions through scripting
Requirements:
Must have recent, relevant, extensive work experience in the Clarke Simulations Center, Ft. Moore
Must have knowledge of and experience with the currently used Live, Virtual, and Constructive-Gaming Simulation Software (LVC-G) applications and/or its replacement is required
At least 10 years experience MC Systems such as, Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Joint Battle Command-Platform (JBC-P), Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3), and/or their replacement(s). Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI), Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS), and Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and associated software tools (JCATS and/or DXTRS), and/or their replacements. Emerging Requirements (ER) Program of Record (POR) systems such as Next Generation Constructive Systems and or its replacement(s), and/ or Synthetic Training Environment (STE) systems and/or its replacement(s) and server operating systems in a TCP/IP network environment.
Emphasis on Linux setup and operations.
Must be a disciplined worker capable of meeting short suspense working in, around, and with an active duty Military personnel
Must be able to support shifts that occur outside normal working hours to support 24/7 operations during exercise events that may be in excess of 40 hours per week
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Work will be performed at an active Military Installation
Familiarity with CAC card procedures; existing CAC holder preferred
