A Day in the Life

The Product Manager for the US Acute Care & Monitoring team will be responsible for developing downstream marketing activities for the Core Airways portfolio. This entails creating marketing strategies, launch plans and portfolio management. The role also involves inventory management and performing product demonstrations for sales and surgeon customers.

In conjunction with sales and sales support staff, the Product Manager will develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing plan that includes competitive strategy, pricing analysis, sales forecasting, product launches, distribution analysis and inventory management. They will also continuously analyze competitive information to recommend product enhancements or developments.

The Medical Surgical Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.

This position is an exciting and new opportunity to work with Medtronic's Acute Care & Monitoring and/or Medical Care Management Systems businesses.

Responsibilities include:


  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercialization strategies

  • Engage daily with the sales force and sales leadership teams to effectively drive the market growth of our adjunctive therapies portfolio

  • Identify unmet clinical needs by analyzing existing opportunities and current and potential programs/tactics

  • Create marketing strategies, launch plans, pricing tactics and portfolio management

  • Maintain a two-year demand forecast reviewed monthly, reflecting market changes and sales input

  • Plan and execute quarterly activities with a broad sales force and collaborating across a matrix to drive new sales initiatives

  • Coordinate product plans and activities with a wide range of internal cross-functional partners including sales and global marketing

  • Analyze competitive information and recommending product enhancements or developments

  • Provide ongoing customer support and service to internal and external customers

  • Track KPIs for key programs, tactics and activities and establishing regular state of the business communications to key stakeholders

  • Responsible for product line sales forecasting and budget planning

  • Travel requirement: 20-30%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, and/or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have


  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field

  • Clinical, Marketing, Commercial experience

  • Persuasive communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to work in a challenging environment

  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships

  • Capability to travel within the U.S

  • Advanced analytical skills (market trends, competitor SWOT analysis, financials, etc)

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude

  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities and to grow your career through the continuous learning experience and a "how can we do better" mindset

  • Experience in marketing, business development, or sales

  • Downstream product marketing or development with both feasibility and launch experience

  • Experience analyzing data and synthesizing it into presentable information to drive action

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$101,600.00 - $152,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
