Engineering Project Manager at TSI
The Engineering Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of new product development projects within TSI. They will collaborate with teams of Systems Engineers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional members, coordinating multiple, concurrent product development projects. These dedicated teams will develop hardware and software for respirator fit testing, indoor/outdoor monitoring of airborne dust/aerosols, assessing the indoor air quality and ventilation efficiency of commercial/residential buildings, and more.
The ideal candidate will have experience in positively motivating new product development teams (both internal and external) to deliver outstanding hardware and software products on-time and on-budget. They will be a strong communicator, skilled influencer, and outcome-focused individual.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
Leading project teams through the planning and execution of new product development projects
Developing achievable commitments and delivering project deliverables on-time and on-budget
Planning, managing, and reporting status of budgets, schedules, cost of goods, resources, and capital requirements for each project prior to approval and throughout project lifecycle
Coaching project team members in support of their contribution to the project plan
Creating and administering efficient systems for project communication, such as team meetings, sub-team meetings, project reviews, and documentation repositories
Communicating project status to senior management and other company stakeholders, highlighting successes, risks, issues, and mitigation plans
Recognizing project risks and issues quickly, rapidly acting to mitigate and escalate, as required
Leveraging strong communication skills to collaborate across engineering, project management, marketing, quality, supply chain, compliance, and operations to meet project goals
Collaborating with other project managers to drive continuous improvement across the organization
What Do You Need?
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years of engineering experience - engineering project management, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related
Familiarity with project management software and tools
Strong indirect team leadership skills
Experience with project planning, risk mitigation, and execution
Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and business stakeholders
Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
Proven ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Desired
Master's Degree or MBA
2+ years of engineering project management experience within new product development
PMI certification
Agile certification
Proven history of successful project planning, risk mitigation, and execution
Technical engineering leadership experience
Experience in application of modern project management methodologies (Lean Project Management, Kanban, Agile, Scrum, etc.) and tools (e.g., Visual planning boards, Jira, etc.)
Knowledge of relevant EMC/EMI regulatory requirements and standards
Strong operations experience in bringing a product through pilot, ramp, and production launch

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $100,000 - $118,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
