Payroll Specialist at TSI



The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processing and employee reimbursements in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. This role will be the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquires, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Additionally, this role will manage the business travel expense reporting platform and assist individuals with any issues while ensuring the expenses are within the company policies.



What Will You Do?



In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for 650+ U.S. employees across multiple locations, with accuracy and timeliness


• Ensure all timesheets are submitted in compliance with policy


• Responds to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters, which involves reconciliation and analysis capabilities related to problem solving and research


• Generate payroll reports, including reconciliation with third-party tax and garnishment services


• Audit pay records and reconcile all tax and unemployment liability accounts to the general ledger and investigate variances


• Ensure compliance with internal payroll policies and all applicable federal and state regulations


• Ensure proper processing of retirement plan contributions, including loans and Company matching deposits


• Assist with year-end tax reporting, including the preparation of employee W-2 forms in collaboration with the Payroll Provider


• Review relevant documentation received from various functions to ensure accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations within the payroll system.


• File and/or review quarterly and annual unemployment filings and ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws


• Stay up to date on payroll law changes and assess the company's compliance


• Manage business travel expense reporting platform to ensure new hires are set up along with maintaining current reporting relationships


• Review and approve weekly expense reports ensuring expenses are compliant with Company policy


• Issue and maintain corporate credit cards used for travel expenses


• Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

What Do You Need?



Required

• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and;
  
  
  
  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience (ADP Preferred)
  
  
  
  


• If no Degree, a minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience is required


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)


• Experience managing payroll with multiple States


• Experience with Concur expense reporting

Pay & Benefits:



Competitive market salary from $60,000 - $68,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
