Position Description:

The Plant Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to plant operations, ensuring accurate data collection, cost tracking, and reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient plant operations by coordinating with site managers, validating expenses, and supporting material operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect data from the field for material operational costs.
  • Provide Operations with daily Sales and Plant Operating Unit Cost Reports.
  • Send out POR weekly with site managers for Aggregate , HMA and RM Managers to review with CA
  • Set production costs of quarry stone with Material Operations.
  • Validate expense postings to the plant such as AP, Payroll.
  • Enter Quarry Productions.
  • Send out R&M reports to Plant Managers to review with CA
  • Coordinate Quarterly (monthly) flyover schedule with plant operations.
  • Send Out Flyover reports with Plant Managers and Material Operations.
  • Provide Operational support to the Aggregate, HMA and RM Divisions.
  • Collect Monthly Utility Workbooks for CA Analysis
  • Any other administrative duties deemed necessary by Material Operations Group.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in plant administration, operations support, or accounting is a plus.
  • Experience in the construction, aggregates, or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software for data entry and cost validation.
  • Strong understanding of material operations, production cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to collect and manage data from multiple sources.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in data entry and reporting.


Independent Action:

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Manager where clarification or exception to procedure may be required.


Work Conditions

Office setting with controlled temperature and minimal noise. Incumbent must be able to sit for extended periods of time and tolerate working at a computer for most of their work duties.
