Job Description:

Are you a talented Business Analyst looking for your next exciting opportunity? Join our team and be directly responsible for strategic and tactical initiatives that support our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with business units and other Systems area personnel to define, develop, and complete initiatives

  • Partner with functional groups to clarify business requirements and ensure alignment with business needs

  • Communicate technical direction to the business for consistent application of technology solutions

  • Define and complete detailed business requirements for recommendations

  • Provide ongoing support throughout the pilot phase of initiatives

  • Build partnerships with business and technical representatives for problem-solving activities

  • Conduct structured interviews to gather information for specific business situations

  • Create workflow diagrams reflecting current and future business environments

  • Document findings, formulate alternatives, and finalize recommendations

  • Facilitate project work from beginning phases through implementation

  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend vendor system software packages

  • Develop presentations to communicate findings and recommendations

Skills
  • At least seven years of business analyst experience

  • Proficient with MS Office Product Suite

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with emphasis on brainstorming and debating dialogues

  • Three years of business systems development expertise

  • Experience with interviewing, researching, and documenting findings

  • High energy, positive thinking, and an assertive personality

  • Strong leadership, communication, listening, and influencing skills

  • Ability to build trust and credibility

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Experience with relational databases, Web Services/APIs, SaaS, etc.

  • Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions

  • Experience supporting self-service and public marketing sites

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline

  • Ability to read XML and JSON data models

  • Experience with ACORD

  • Experience with MuleSoft

  • Project Management skills

  • Skilled in writing SQL queries
