The Operations Planner is responsible for managing workforce allocation needs across the nine border sectors by prioritizing timely support and resources for the sites experiencing the greatest influxes. The Operations Planner utilizes and adheres to the backfill plan to ensure adequate and credentialed staffing in all sectors. 

Essential Functions:  


  • Compile and report training compliance metrics and coordinate and schedule training sessions 

  • Provide support to Child Well-Being protocol and track trends and lessons learned

  • Review each site’s staffing needs, including the number of required Specialists and specialized capabilities, and implement the DS Staffing Plan

  • Support operations with

    • Scheduling, onboarding, training, and other needs

    • Managing compliance requirements as a liaison with PM and DS compliance



  • Coordinate deployment and redeployment efforts to assist the government in managing acute mass mitigation

  • Partner with the DS travel and logistics teams to ensure alignment with Child Well-Being staffing goals

  • Maintain risk register and mitigating efforts

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Adobe PDF

  • Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of information



  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines

  • Problem-solving ability to identify problems as they arise and recommend solutions 

  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English  

  • Deployed Services operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field  

  • Two years of work experience in planning and managing projects

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)

  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment

Pay: $65,520 annually 

Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
