*Position Summary:*
A Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports. Senior accountants regulate and authenticate financial transactions and maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks Their duties include reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions and communicating with company Executives about financial strategies.
* *Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days from home.*
* *Pay range: $90- $100K DOE*
* *Must be local or willing to relocate on your own.*
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *
* Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
* Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
* Maintains the general ledger.
* Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
* Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
* Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
* Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
* Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
* Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
* Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations and roll out reconciliation procedures.
* Monitor and maintain a new audit system by implementing new policies and procedures in the finance department
* As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
* Perform other duties assigned by management.
*Education/Qualification: *
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience as a Senior Accountant.
* Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
* Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
* Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment
* Highly proficient with accounting software.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
* Preferred Skills: Microsoft Navision, SAP, CPA.
*Other Duties:*

* Performs other duties as assigned.
