Position Summary The Risk Management Internship is an opportunity to learn what a career in Risk Management is all about. The intern will gain exposure to various insurance coverages and risk management practices that impact the construction industry. The intern will interact with members of Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Project Teams, Insurance Brokers and the McCarthy subcontractor community. The role will be seated at McCarthy’s corporate headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri. Key Responsibilities
Identify insurance requirements contained within executed contracts.
Assist Risk Analysts with reviewing trade partner certificates of insurance and policy endorsements for compliance.
Input data within McCarthy’s Risk Management Information System.
Run reports for the Risk Managers / Directors related to contract reviews, awarded projects and upcoming pursuits.
Assist the Risk Management Business Director with financial analysis, as needed.
Support McCarthy Risk Analysts / Managers / Directors as needed for project management.
Qualifications
Student currently working towards Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance or Business Administration.
Interest in pursuing a career in Risk Management.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, multitask and meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong initiative and ability to self-manage.
Willingness to work in the St. Louis office for the internship duration is required
