The Role:


Reporting to the Manager of Project Management, the Project Coordinator will arrange schedules and regulate workflow within or between organizational units supporting designated projects. They will help check the master schedule and work orders, establishes priorities and changes the schedule according to projects, work order specifications, and established priorities, coordinates production release, and sets up shop order packets and materials.



Your Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for receiving and moving materials to designated storage areas.

  • Stages inventory and maintains kitting systems for parts and orders utilized in production areas and for assigned project orders using production schedules.

  • Utilizes pick lists to pull and kit all the parts necessary for assigned production and project orders.

  • Follows priority dispatch list in setting up and prioritizing work with assigned work teams; responsible for timely material issue resolution to insure on time shipping commitments.

  • Maintains the accuracy and timely completion of KanBan cards and material transactions; manages KanBan inventory levels.

  • Responsible for timely reports and logs; accounts for all replenishment orders and part shortages and outages and for timely completion of JDE transactions for materials, received and issued.

  • Works with ECO and Engineering on phase-in/phase-out of materials and correction of prints and bills of material.

  • Responsible for performing the daily Cycle Count and major variance root cause analysis; assists with annual physical inventory.

  • Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.

  • Reviews schedules and related information and confers with others to determine requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

  • Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates, according to priorities and material availability.

  • Examine material delivered to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. Use a hand truck or forklift to move or transport materials when necessary.

  • Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials.

  • Work requires continual attention to detail in follow-through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.

  • May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.

  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.


Requirements:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with production processes, machines and/or tools.

  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets and database software including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. JDE system experience preferred.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions and decimals. Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

  • Work requires continual attention to detail in following through, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
