Lead aerospace proposals and programs, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery. Drive business development, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain customer relationships. Collaborate with sales and engineering teams. Act as the primary contact for key accounts, support digital marketing, and utilize SalesForce and Oracle MRP software.
How You Will Do It:
Cradle-to-Grave Team Leadership of individual Aerospace Proposal/Program efforts on-time and within budget
Business Development Goals include: Orders intake, Price Increases, New Business Life of Program Value captured, Customer Satisfaction, Digital Marketing metrics and Working Capital flow-downs
Program Management Goals include: Budget Management (including Milestones/Schedule, Scope Creep & Customer mgmt.), and Customer Satisfaction
Work with AMETEK Regional Sales Mgrs. to propose/capture/execute new/existing business opportunities and prospect for New Business via Customer visitations (travel 10-25%).
Proposal & Contract review, Business-Case generation and Executive Summarization
The ability to estimate manufacturing costs would be a bonus
Once proposals are won, generate a Program Mgmt. Plan (PMP), which includes proposal assumptions & budget, program particulars (platform, volume, sales/yr, key assumptions), milestone schedule, technical design summary, risk management, as well as a scope change register.
A typical Proposal/Program Schedule would include: Proposal generation/estimation phase, followed by PDR/CDR, Development-Unit Fabrication/Testing, and transition to Production.
Close cooperation is required with Engineering for the development of proposals and program deliverables
Act as POC for cognizant key accounts/programs, providing Customer Service for the commercial/programmatic aspects of new programs and providing delivery updates to customers
Improve the Voice of Customer Feedback by providing superior customer management
Digital Marketing web-updates, content creation, social media videos, email blasts, etc. as needed
Understand the A&D market, trends, new product needs for Thermal Management
Utilize SalesForce proposal/lead management software and Oracle MRP
Understanding of Government Contracts and AS606 accounting for NRE & recurring revenue recognition
What We Look For:
BD/Sales Experience or Program Management required
Business degree preferred, MBA a plus
Engineering/Technical degree required
PMP preferred
PMA/SAR Aftermarket background, a plus
Digital Marketing experience/background preferred
Technical and commercial background
Self-starter with a customer-friendly approach, and possesses a strong work ethic
Team-oriented
Capable of multitasking
Working knowledge of MS Office products
Strong verbal/written communication skills
