Employee Type: Regular This position is responsible for maintaining safety databases and reports, including MSHA certifications/training, emergency squad certifications and recordkeeping. Also assist managers and supervisors with projects as needed. Job Description: Essential Duties: Process/enter incident reports in computer software Filing/maintenance of employee safety files Maintaining MSHA requirements, including but not limited to: Quarterly hours report Annual methane and certified persons training Dodd Frank report Conduct annual noise testing IS certification, application and resumes Other required documentation Update monthly mine statistics and charts Coordinate on and off-site training for Emergency Squads Renew ambulance and CLIA license as needed Create signs, hardhat labels, and nameplates on sign machine Schedule recertification classes as needed Maintain records and certifications for EMT’s, EMR’s, IS and blaster’s Perform job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures, and state and federal regulations Other Duties & Responsibilities: Reconcile monthly safety credit card statement Assist with safety eye care program Coordinate Safety Focus and appreciation events Receptionist duties as required Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of EMT and EMR certification requirements Basic knowledge of MSHA rules and regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, office employees and workforce Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced work environment Minimum Requirements: Associate’s degree in Safety, Business, or a related field, with one year of related experience; or, three years of experience in Safety, Business, or a related field Advertising and Application Dates: March 12 - 26, 2025 EEO Statement: EEO/M/F/disability/veteran You must meet at least the specific minimum requirements listed above to be considered a qualified applicant.
