Join our dynamic team of educators for the 2025-2026 academic year and inspire the next generation of scientists! We're seeking a passionate and innovative faculty member to teach engaging courses that may include biology, ecology, evolution, animal behavior, and marine biology. You'll have the opportunity to guide students through hands-on laboratory techniques, cutting-edge research methods, and specialized courses aligned with your expertise at both the associate and baccalaureate levels.

Beyond the classroom, you'll play a pivotal role in mentoring students through professional internships and research projects, fostering their growth into confident professionals. Your contributions will also include student advisement, recruitment, curriculum and course development, and active participation in college and department initiatives within the Department of Physical and Life Sciences.

This position will have an August 2025 start date.



Job Requirements:

Required:

  • Master's in biology or related field
  • Documented teaching experience in both lecture and laboratory settings

Preferred:

  • PhD in biology or related field is recommended.
  • A diverse background, including practical experience in the disciplines of ecology and evolution and the disciplines of organismal and integrative biology is highly preferable.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to active-learning and student engagement.


Additional Information:
