Role Summary

This position supports our Technology Governance team which plays an integral first line risk & compliance function to support our Global Technology organization. Serving in this position will help Global Technology meet our internal and external compliance obligations, which are driven substantially by our internal policies & programs, regulators, and customers.  This position will also help drive critical technology risk and privacy initiatives and will be key in influencing stakeholders across the firm to maintain our risk and compliance posture, as well as require interaction with clients to support new business and on-going due diligence activities.

Responsibilities


  • Contributes to development and enhancement of a strong organizational risk culture and applies risk management techniques to assigned business line.  Reports technology risks caused by business activities to senior staff. Evaluates potential courses of action to address complex issues identified and recommends solutions. 

  • Leveraging strong knowledge of business line, evaluates existing processes, identifies control gaps, and recommends treatments for any gaps found within a business line.

  • Performs standard risk assessments, monitors and reports policy and controls compliance.

  • Supports the technology privacy lead for Global Technology, executing the Global Privacy program through timely privacy assessments and timely response to incidents.

  • Responds timely to customer inquiries and audits pertaining to Technology risk & controls and other related information.

  • Supporting the implementation implementing and auditing technology policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Duties include developing and enforcing technology standards and regulations, assessing risk, and supporting the implementation of technology controls.

  • Supports other programs within the Technology Governance team such as facilitating audit and compliance activities.

  • Supports internal audit department in technology audit and reports on treatment of control gaps that are being put in place. Manages and coordinates updates to common language sections in the reporting and ensures alignment to other reporting groups and regulatory framework. Ensures consistent and appropriate presentation of content within reports. 

  • Assists in implementing new controls and processes as technologies, risks, and regulations evolve.

  • Actively identifies when junior resources need assistance and mentorship and helps team members/makes suggestions to improve practice.

  • Leads projects or work streams within broader projects, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Accountable for work of self and sometimes others, provides process and standards advice in area of specialty.

  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:


  • Ability to effectively partner and communicate to various technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Established leadership and relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to operate at senior levels of a large corporation.

  • CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND -5+ years of total relevant work experience.

Preferred:


  • Requires strategic thinking and risk-based decision-making skills.

  • Extensive experience and understanding of relevant technology risk, compliance, and data privacy regulations and frameworks (e.g. SOX, SOC, GDPR, COBIT), as well as internal control concepts.

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learns quickly, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$94,500.00 - $161,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$103,000.00 - $177,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$117,000.00 - $201,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
