DNV's Energy Systems North America group is seeking a collaborative and responsive Part-Time Field Inspector to join our Decarbonization and End User Services team.
The role will be responsible for conducting field inspections and supporting technical assistance projects involving energy efficiency measures in MA, NH, CT and RI. The field inspection tasks will involve - review of project documents before site visit, coordinating with our team to schedule the site visits, taking notes, measurements and pictures of field equipment installations, writing inspection reports upon return from the site inspection.
The successful candidate would ideally be experienced with the regional energy efficiency program offerings - awareness of energy efficiency measures that are incentivized, and or has strong building systems knowledge like HVAC systems and associated controls.
This role will require travel to some regional office locations (North Andover, MA, and or Middletown, CT) but primarily travel will be to site locations throughout the New England region and will be based on the project workflow needs. Some of this travel may require overnight stay.
This position will be based out of Middletown CT, Portland ME, North Andover, MA or Medford, MA.
What You'll Do
• Conduct field inspections of energy efficiency projects that include the following tasks:
Review project documents prior to site visit
Update availability schedule on a regular basis,
During inspection, verify equipment specifications, counts, take pictures and spot measurements as required (in consultation with the PM),
Develop inspection memo/report upon return within 5 business days,
Assist the technical assistance team with site findings
• Produce work results that meet DNV standards

As required by the Pay Transparency laws in Colorado, New York City, California, Washington, and Connecticut, DNV provides a reasonable compensation range for roles that may be hired in those locations. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the states of Colorado, New York City, NY, California, Washington, and Connecticut only, the range of starting pay for this role is $45/hr - $55/hr.
