We are looking for a Corporate Fleet Manager to join our team. The Corporate Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, maintenance, and operation of a company's vehicle fleet. This role ensures that the fleet is managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage fleet capital and assets, including setting strategy, planning, implementation, supply chain, analysis, reporting and communication
Prepare and follow up on the annual fleet budget, in line with the annual business plan objectives
Direct and develop a management team responsible for the various fleet functions
Lead continuous cost improvement, productivity management, and process improvement strategies and techniques that drive profitability
Oversee collaboration with fleet maintenance providers to analyze historical data and determine long-term strategies
Direct the strategic plan for fleet replacement using maintenance records and logistics requirements at the plant level
Assess current fleet module and data, and establish new business requirements based on fleet strategies; recommend development and management of fleet systems
Oversee capital expenditure functions through purchase order creation, delivery tracking, invoice processing, and updating budget reports
Direct maintenance and fuel operations to include performance, standards and vendor management of outsourced maintenance and fuel solutions
Assist in the development and coordination of the fleet advertising tracking program to include all supplier graphics distributed through the company fleet
Direct, support, and develop all activities related Telematics and Samsara Solutions (GPS, ELD, safety cameras, and driver applications
Identify safety training needs, develop appropriate training programs and deliver training to employees; solicit feedback from workers and use that feedback to improve existing programs or create new ones
Promote safety awareness through internal company resources; maintain corporate safety library (e.g., videos, regulations, reference manuals)
Support operations functions such as National Safety Rodeo in planning, scheduling events, and budgeting
Oversee local/state/federal required documentation for DOT inspection and driver records, per regulatory requirement
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree plus 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of demonstrated management experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with State laws
Experience with having P&L responsibility, owning and managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Operations Management, or related field
Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation, persuasion and communications skills
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and/or software applications
Ability to work effectively across functions to achieve desired customer satisfaction goals
Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements
Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 150lbs
