POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President and Head of Investor Relations will develop and execute an integrated IR strategy that will align to and promote the business objectives and enhance the image and reputation of the company. This role will lead investor relations strategies and activities, specifically overseeing analyst and investor engagement.
The Head of Investor Relations must partner closely with finance, commercial, corporate communications and the Executive Committee to articulate an accurate and concise message to the investment community as the company embarks on the next phase of its strategy to build a leading, diversified specialty pharmaceutical company.
This leader will be expected to take a strategic and proactive approach toward the execution of the IR function. This individual will need to be investor and capital market savvy, and will work closely with the CEO, CFO, and other functions to sharpen and improve the message regarding where the company is now and where it is going.
The Head of Investor Relations will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and CFO in preparing for earnings calls, investor meetings, and industry conferences. This role will prepare senior executives for their interaction with the investment community and act as a conduit for information from the investment community to internal stakeholders. It is critical, as a key communications leader, that this individual develop an in-depth, comprehensive understanding of the company's operations, financial performance, and strategies through their interaction with company executives and business leaders.
