What you will do:
This position is responsible for Li Ion Cell activities with respect to Li Ion cell and component supplier identification and qualification.
What you will do:
Assisting in developing relationships with suppliers to help generate understanding of their cell/component
Investigating potential suppliers in region keeping up to date on their product portfolios and roadmaps.
Communicating cell/component requirements to suppliers
Analyzing and report on test data from cell suppliers and internal testing.
Supporting technical discussions with our OEM customers within the North American region.
Leading the requirements analysis and validation planning activities specific to customer projects.
Distilling OEM system requirements into cell requirements
Supplying necessary Li Ion cell/component related information to system design teams
Proposing, monitoring, and assisting with internal Clarios Li Ion cell/component testing.
Reporting on internal Clarios test data.
Technical contact to Li Ion Cell and component suppliers for production programs performance, quality, and business viability.
What we look for:
Required:
BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
3 to 7 years of professional engineering experience in related field
Li Ion cell chemistry and cell design required
Preferred:
Knowledge of APQP quality systems preferred
Knowledge of cell level DFMEA/PFMEA with respect to cell design and manufacturing preferred
Experience working with OE Automotive/Tier highly desire
Experience with Li Ion cell manufacturing highly desired
