Overview
The HR Business Partner acts as a coach and business partner to leaders and employees across defined client groups. A successful HR Business Partner will build trusted partnerships with leaders and their teams to provide support and consultation in the key disciplines of Human Resources, deliver a high level of value-added service, and act as a champion for positive change.
This role will support a mix of employees that are onsite and remote. The ideal candidate will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Ripon, WI, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
Partner with leaders in assigned client groups in developing plans that optimize organizational design, business planning and employee development and engagement
Guide, counsel and administer the performance management process from goal setting to annual review. Ensure teams are appropriately trained on the overall process as well as program changes
Work with leaders to actively manage and resolve performance issues proactively, minimizing any risk
Facilitate functional talent reviews and leverage insights from discussions with leaders to address leadership and/or competency gaps and opportunities and ensure the creation of plans to bridge the gaps
Engage with hiring managers on staffing plans to become more predictable with resource needs and ensure hiring managers are properly trained on all talent acquisition processes and practices
Participate on interview and selection teams to assess talent to hire for immediate and future needs
Partner with leaders on employee onboarding (content creation and facilitation)
Develop, assist in development, and/or implement appropriate employee training to enhance team effectiveness
Provide leaders guidance on compensation decisions
Collaborate on HR program implementations and ensure aligned delivery across business groups
Drive successful execution of new initiatives, including the rollout of business initiatives and programs focused on organizational and cultural change
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
5 years of progressive experience in HR including experience providing HR generalist/business partner support to multiple functional areas
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required
PHR, SPHR or other HR Certification is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to connect with employees and build strong relationships with leaders
Ability to understand and translate function strategy and objectives into talent and culture actions and develop clear steps to execute upon
Excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills with the ability to modify style based on audience
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with orientation on results and customer service
Proven effective consulting skills with an ability to influence in many directions and varying levels of the organization
Ability to advise and collaborate with key stakeholders in the development of the HR and employee engagement strategies, roll out key HR initiatives and communications
Demonstrated experience applying independent judgment on employee relations issues and working closely and effectively with leadership at different levels of the organization
Ability to adapt & respond effectively to a rapid and complex changing work environment
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software and solid working experience with HRIS systems
Travel:
Ability to travel for client group business meetings, as needed. On average, travel will be no more than 10-15% of the time.
