DCI Donor Services is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives! Our mission at DCI Donor Services is to save lives through organ donation and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work! We are looking for a Materials Technician that will be responsible for maintaining the receipt, shipment, and storage of all incoming specimens and donated human tissue.

*The required shift for this position will be Monday-Thursday, 8:00AM-6:30PM.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:

  • Establishes, orders, evaluates and maintains appropriate supply levels in the Mainstream warehouse, Processing, and CSS areas. Receives deliveries during established business hours and distributes to recipients as identified. Maintains record of received supplies and obtains proper certifications for critical supplies for reference when needed.
  • Researches new supplies, systems and/or vendors for better pricing, convenience and quality. When requested, researches supplies for Tissue Bank personnel to meet specified technical standards. Coordinates implementation of new supplies through regular communication with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs personnel. Helps maintain approved supply list in BTM for Tissue Bank Staff through regular communication with departmental managers regarding the relevance of supplies to represent Standard Operating Procedures
  • Reviews and attaches packing slips to original purchase orders (PO) of all ordered supplies and sends them to appropriate DCIDS accounting personnel. Works with appropriate DCIDS accounting personnel to set up new vendor accounts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a laboratory, tissue baking or related field, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
