Job Summary:The Home-Center Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing Wilsonarts presence across big-box retail locations within an assigned territory. This includes ensuring in-store brand representation and hygiene, developing strong relationships with store and fabricator representatives, and driving year-over-year revenue growth. The Home-Center Rep will work to maintain an up-to-date presence of samples and marketing materials while fostering productive relationships with key inside and outside sales teams.Key Responsibilities:
  • Store Hygiene and Brand Representation:
  • Ensure Wilsonart displays, samples, and marketing materials are properly maintained and always up to date in each retail location.
  • Regularly assess store hygiene, addressing any gaps in visual representation or merchandising to ensure Wilsonarts standards are upheld.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with store inside sales associates and outside reps, focusing on collaborative efforts to drive in-store sales.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with fabricators selling Wilsonart products, assisting them in store-related initiatives to boost product visibility.

Sales Growth and Market Development:

  • Drive year-over-year revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities within each retail location.
  • Actively manage all in-store activities, promotions, and product awareness efforts, aligning with Wilsonarts overall sales strategy.
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales plans tailored to each stores unique needs and potential, regularly tracking progress against goals.

Data Management and CRM:

  • Record daily activities, customer interactions, and sales data in the CRM system to ensure accurate, real-time information on territory progress.
  • Collect, maintain, and update customer and store information, ensuring CRM data reflects current account activities and status.

Product Education and Brand Advocacy:

  • Provide store associates with ongoing product training, emphasizing Wilsonarts quality, history, and product differentiators.
  • Present product knowledge materials to key retail staff, ensuring they understand and can effectively communicate the benefits of Wilsonart products to customers.
  • Utilize social media and other digital platforms to enhance Wilsonarts visibility and educate potential customers on available products.

Market Presence and Travel:

  • Conduct regular visits to all big-box locations within the territory, supporting promotional events and facilitating Wilsonart or industry-sponsored events as needed.
  • Maintain thorough records of business expenses, submitting timely reports for reimbursement.
Requirements:Experience: Previous experience in the big-box retail environment and B2B sales is preferred. Knowledge of Wilsonart products or the kitchen & bath industry is a plus.Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships, strong organizational and follow-up skills, self-motivation, and an entrepreneurial mindset.Technology Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet), CRM systems, and Concur is preferred.Other Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds for sample delivery, and flexibility for extended hours and travel within the assigned territory, including trips to Texas for training.
