Job Description:

Ardurra is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our staff in Dallas, TX.


Primary Function


The Survey CAD Technician will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. A willingness to work in a team environment, following the standards we have in place is a must.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Perform public records research (deeds, plats, maps, data sheets, etc.)

  • Preparing deed sketches, right of way maps, easements, metes and bounds descriptions, closure sheets, detailed drawings and exhibits within company/client standards

  • Review field crew notes; analyze and process field data (conventional and GPS)

  • Monitor field crew production and perform quality assurance.

  • Perform initial CAD work on land surveying deliverables

  • The level of responsibility required of the candidate will be based on their level of experience and familiarity with the type of survey



     Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



    • A solid understanding of drafting techniques and ability to operate MicroStation, OpenRoads and Trimble Business Center software is preferred

    • Strong Organizational Skills – able to demonstrate ability to work under pressure, to manage deadlines, and prioritize assignments

    • Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision

    • Effectively coordinate and communicate with client, project team and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines

    • Strong Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)


    Education and Experience Requirements



    • Bachelor of Science or an Associate’s degree in Surveying is preferred but not required

    • Having general knowledge of standard surveying procedures and methods is preferred but not required

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Knowledge of basic math

    • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation
