Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

  • May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.

  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

  • On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. • 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

  • Green Belt or in progress

  • Process Simulation

  • Process Capacity Analysis and Process (Time studies, line balancing) improvement experience

  • Line Layout design and implementation (Space planning)

  • Demonstrated experience in the use and implementation of the Lean (SMED, VSA, 5S) and Six sigma toolset

  • AutoCad (2D) and Advanced Excel

  • Experience with the Tier process, Daily management system and Leader Standard work

  • Scrap reduction

  • Good communication skills and project management

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$92,800.00 - $139,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
