The salary range for this position is $$164,000-$205,000 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Total Rewards offerings also include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental and vision insurance, flex paid time off program, parental leave, employee discount/perks, a retirement plan with employer contributions, Summer Fridays, opportunity to work from anywhere for two weeks in the summer and July and December wellness/shutdown weeks for applicable positions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Global Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for registrations, screening for compliance, along with formula and raw material data excellence. The position will manage relationships with cross-functional partners in legal, packaging development, product development, project management, sourcing, quality assurance, and brand management.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Approve final formulations and products for market.

  • Train, coach, and manage a team of regulatory professionals.

  • Prepare and submit registration documentation.

  • Request and screen ingredient and formula data.

  • Manage global regulatory driven impacts and timelines of any changes needed.

  • Evaluate formulas against internal and governmental limits.

  • Evaluate cosmetovigilance data for international mandated reporting.

  • Support technical teams with formula insight.

  • Draft ingredient FAQs and help craft customer replies.

  • Managing multiple project budgets.

  • Review carton artwork against approved copy and claims.

  • Representing the regulatory department in internal and external meetings.

  • Provide project updates to senior leadership.


REQUIREMENTS


  • BS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience with 10+ years relevant work experience in the cosmetic or similarly regulated field.

  • Experience in product registration submission, preferably with experience in Brazil, China, India, and Australia.

  • Passionate about the cosmetics industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through strong prioritization and planning

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

  • A team player, flexible and able to adapt to change

  • Manages complexity while balancing stakeholder expectations and needs.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with exceptional attention to detail

  • Approximately 10% domestic and international travel may be required
