Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, hands-on experience with NetSuite, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to and streamline our accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment of financial data and support business initiatives.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and assist with audits.
Continuously improve and optimize processes within NetSuite, leveraging the system to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system is required; experience in other financial software is a plus.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Experience in process improvement or system implementation projects
