Job Description:

Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Logistics to join the Distribution Team.




Overview of the Position:



The Distribution and Logistics team is accountable for ensuring supply continuity for the +$7B in critical Yum! Brand food, packaging & equipment components which support 21,000+ restaurants and $20B in revenue across Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Habit Burger and Grill and A&W in the United States.


This position will engage with a broad set of teams to plan and ensure execution of logistics &warehousing strategies that assure supply across all Yum! Brands as well as resolve supply disruptions while planning for the future network needs. Responsibility will encompass approximately:


• All US based DCs and redistribution points


• 25+ Supplier, plant, and/or item specification transitions annually


• RSCS' Restaurant Equipment Warehouse

Essential Functions:



• Daily logistics point of contact with the assigned RSCS cross-functional teams and Brands on resolution of


supply and customer service issues.


• Develop and implement strategic logistics plans for RSCS and all supported brands.


• Responsible for analyzing supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement, and devising strategies


to optimize the movement of goods and materials. This includes determining the most cost-effective


transportation routes, warehouse locations, and inventory management practices.


• Oversee a team of professionals and ensure efficient coordination of activities.


• Responsible for budgeting, cost analysis, and cost reduction initiatives within the logistics, distribution,


and redistribution departments


• Ability to optimize processes, negotiate favorable contracts with suppliers and carriers, and minimize waste,


while contributing to the organization's profitability & maintaining high service standards


• Key contact with 3PL providers and Distributors transportation group on logistics matters to include problem


resolution, communication of RSCS/Yum! Brands initiatives, interpretation and execution of contracts, and other


activities as needed to service operator's requirements.


• Implement & lead QBR process with all applicable partners.


• Exhibit strategic leadership and foresight to support long range logistics optimization & service level


improvement, while balancing cost


• Translate business needs & priorities into actionable logistic & warehousing strategies.


• Effectively initiate, manage, and lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects across the distribution


network, leverage LEAN, standard work, and visual controls


• Define and implement scorecards to drive results and improve fidelity into cost and service factors.


• Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)


• Other duties as assigned by management.



Required Education, Experience, and Skills:



• Bachelor's degree required. Concentration in Supply Chain is a plus.


• Prefer MBA, APICS CPIM certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, and/ or ISM CPSM certification.


• Experience in participating in business reviews, distribution partner onboarding and performance management to


KPI expectations.


• 5+years of freight and logistics experience, preferably in the food industry, including leading teams of people


at high performing final mile distribution companies within the QSR space.


• Direct involvement with distributor/customer relationships and building out strategic roadmaps for future


operations. Ability to identify and understand complex issues, analyze, and compare data, and draw conclusions


as a result of analysis.


• High proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.


• Prefer Network design software experience (i.e.: Llamasoft or similar)


• Arrowstream experience a plus.
