Summary:

Responsible for managing a large portfolio of complex client relationships, This position services and broadens relationships of existing clients in the areas of credit and deposit services. Manages complex credit and deposit relationships for individuals, corporations and partnerships. Develops and cultivates relationships with new and existing clients becoming a trusted advisor. Gains an intimate understanding of the client and client's family enabling a consultative relationship to provide solutions and develop new banking, fiduciary and investment management opportunities .

Major Duties:


  • Manage a portfolio of some of the most complex credit relationships for our Family Office clients outside the US.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of cross border lending issues including legal, compliance, regulatory, fiduciary and balance sheet implications for credit services provided to family office clients outside the US.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the variety of client structures and jurisdictions and deliver appropriate credit solutions. Acts as key contact to client's senior management for evaluation and implementation of financing strategies through creative ideas and problem solving.

  • Review and understand client's investment portfolio and asset pool which will inform structure of the credit facilities.

  • Engage the relevant relationship teams, credit risk, treasury and compliance partners in structuring new facilities. Prepare and review term sheets for clients.

  • Coordinates commercial/custom approval process by submitting requests for underwriting and loan documentation and proactively engages in the renewal process by reviewing reports of maturing credits and coordinates the receipt of required information from client for renewal process

  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of loan agreements, financial statements and other documentation required to monitor client relationships

  • Reviews loan documents, submits loans requests for evaluation, may attend loan closings to help review documentation with clients, follows up on missing loan documentation

  • Able to act as a subject matter expert for all credit activity outside the US and act as a resource for other cross functional teams on the ground.

  • Manage compliance with banking regulations, policies and procedures, credit quality and credit policy requirements. Work with internal fiduciary teams for conflict reviews when appropriate.

  • Works with internal teams for appropriate booking of loans and associated loan fees and assists in collection and booking of fees.

  • Proactively works and communicates with client on emerging issues, bank products/services, and legal/regulatory changes translating the impact on our client's activities and banking services

  • Proactively Identifies opportunities and develops an on-going marketing strategy for specific clients.

  • Responds to inquiries from clients and ensures resolution of service or operations issues.

  • Applies in-depth knowledge of credit policy, banking products as well as risk management in providing the best solutions and developing new opportunities

  • Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult

  • Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

  • Solves complex problems and uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions

Knowledge/Skills:


  • In-depth knowledge of finance and relevant business segment specific issues are required to manage client relationships

  • Knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations and completion of the lending program is required to evaluate credit risk

  • Knowledge and understanding of various investment vehicles and the investment industry landscape.

  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills and ability to develop new business required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field

Experience Required:


  • At least 7 years credit and relationship management experience as well as financial analysis and client servicing experience, or commercial lending or leasing experience.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
