Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has immediate openings for Materials Assistants on our 1st shift at our climate-controlled distribution facility located in Ashland, VA. In this position, you will learn various materials handler tasks and would be a key part of the Operations team. You will build a career with a high-tech company working in a hands-on environment. You will have the opportunity to rotate through multiple departments, gaining exposure to the broad range of equipment, processes, and technologies employed in our operation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform distribution functions such as picking, packing, and shipping orders, receiving, put away and stock replenishment
  • Be trained and certified to operate material handling equipment such as turret trucks, order pickers and powered pallet jacks, or as a forklift operator
  • Learn our inventory management system and enter materials transactions
  • Work with our supply chain and distribution teams to process customer orders
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment


Qualifications



Qualifications

  • Able to work 1st shift (6:00am to 2:30pm) and overtime as required
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic communications in English
  • Desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time
  • Ability to move to surrounding workstations
  • Dependability, demonstrated by a good consistent work record
