JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility of this position is to move skids and load pallets throughout the plant by operating electric floor walkers and hand-operated lift trucks. Incumbent will work under minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Adhere to established safety procedures and 5 “ S ” standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain the cycle) required to perform daily duties in this position, including the proper techniques used in lifting/moving of parts
Responsible for moving both raw and finished goods throughout the plant assignment by operating either an electric or hand lift truck
Remove chips from machines and move chip carts to empty at assigned chip dock on a daily basis
Transport all production scrap and RV’s (Return to Vendor) to proper plant location
Provide all machine workstations with necessary coolants and naphtha to ensure smooth operation of the machines
Pull pans, clean coolant sumps, and pump coolants from machines by using sump suckers, as needed
Clean major spills, dispenses and disposes of floor dry, as necessary
Other duties as assigned; Incumbent is required to be very flexible in their daily
job assignments

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of operating electric floor walkers and completion of forklift certification
Problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise and hazards such as electrical shock or gases. Some outside assignments could involve exposure to adverse weather conditions. Adequate hearing protection is required for 85 decibels and above.
