Position Summary

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, located in Elk Mound, WI is seeking an Office Manager with solid, broad-based office skills. Responsibilities include accounting data entry, back-up documentation, maintaining personnel records, contract administration, and additional projects as needed. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive Benefits in a casual office environment.

Essential Functions


  • Uses accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.

  • Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

  • Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, or computers.

  • Debits, credits, and totals accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.

  • Receives, records, and banks cash, checks, and vouchers.

  • Compiles statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable.

  • Codes documents according to company procedures.

  • Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records.

  • Contract Administration. 

  • Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Experience Requirements


  • Must be able to sit for long period of time (4+ hours)

  • Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities while performing job duties in stressful situations or handling complex communication.

  • Must be able to professionally handle sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Highly-organized and detail-oriented.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other office technology.
