Job Description




Main Assignment



  • Responsible for the management of instrumentation and equipment installations and their associated Installation Qualifications and Operational Qualifications.

  • Responsible for the management of internal repairs, 3rd party repairs, and preventative maintenance programs for instrumentation and equipment.


Specific Assignments



  • Provide for contractual agreements for vendor supplied preventative maintenance programs and qualifications of all analytical instrumentation.

  • Troubleshoot and repair analytical equipment with assistance from Laboratory Department Supervisors where needed.

  • Develop Preventative Maintenance SOPs for equipment and Instrumentation with assistance from Laboratory Department Supervisors and Development Scientists where needed.

  • Coordinate site requirements for new equipment installations and equipment relocations.

  • Schedule equipment installations with vendors. Maintain current files (paper and electronic as applicable) of all instrumentation installations and qualifications.

  • Coordinate instrument and equipment repairs, both onsite and sent offsite for repair. Execute loaner instruments when needed. Keep the Equipment database maintained and up to date.

  • Design Analytical Performance criteria for instrument qualification.

  • Assist with selection process of analytical instrumentation and equipment.




Qualifications




Basic Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical testing of foods with advanced instrumental techniques

  • Authorization to work in the United Stated indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.




Additional Information



Position is Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.,withadditional hours, as needed.Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to New Orleans, LA are encouraged to apply.
