Your Team 

As a Data Quality Specialist, Data Management & Governance Chief Data Office, you will join a team of change agents who specialize in ensuring that data is secure and protected, accessible, understood, of known quality, and can be effectively used in support of business goals. You will partner with product owners, data/system owners, engineers and partners to improve data quality. Data Management & Governance is responsible for the tools and processes to maintain a common firm-wide data standard, to understand and influence the quality of data, and to ensure that data is protected and used in accordance with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.  The organization provides solutions and advice within data initiatives by creating, assessing, mastering, managing and maintaining strategies to reduce data redundancy, increase consistency, measure quality, and protect and increase accessibility to data used for decision making.

Here is what you can expect on a typical day  


  • Serve as project lead and execute assigned activities (data analysis/profiling, data curation, dictionary/business definition, establishing quality rules, etc.) against initiative/program roadmaps.

  • Work with business partners, governance peers, project teams, and leaders to gather and understand functional requirements that support the development of business-impact-driven initiatives and projects and establishing projects plans for execution using operationalized capabilities, resources, and tools.

  • Proactively identify project issues/risks/opportunities and suggest/implement solution that all improve the ability to deliver project milestones, OKRs, and deliverable to be achieved.

  • Continually develop knowledge and experience in adopted standards, tools, workflows, and concepts to increase program efficiency and throughput that enable improved access to, comprehension, quality, and utilization of data across the enterprise.

  • Develop and deliver relevant and appropriate training materials and practices that can be delivered enterprise wide while also supporting the development and mentoring of Data Governance Associates.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring   


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises' judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Experienced understanding of business line and a basic understanding of the overall firm.

  • Able to contributefunctional requirements and to work independently under limited circumstances.

  • Successful written and verbal communication to communicate sophisticated messages and creative concepts. 

Experience and experience with tools including:


  • Possess a solid understanding of data management concepts and principles.

  • Apply strong SQL skills to write complex queries for data profiling and analysis.

  • Contribute to data quality initiatives, driving continuous improvement to our data quality management processes.

  • Understand both on-premise and cloud-based data technologies with ease.

  • Solid understanding of data quality framework and data life cycle management standards.

  • Conduct thorough data profiling, assess data and identify issues.

  • Develop and implement data quality monitoring rules to proactively identify potential issues.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to manage and resolve data quality issues.

  • Experience with one or more data governance or quality tools such as Informatica CDQ, CDGC, Collibra, Alation, or IBM IGC/Information Analyzer is preferred.

  • Analytical, root cause analysis, and critical thinking abilities.

The salary range for this role is from $90,100.00 to $134,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
