The Federal Reserve's Center for Learning Innovation (Center) provides learning consultation and development for the Federal Reserve System. Our learning solutions use new technology and range from quick-to-market deliverables to comprehensive training curricula. We have an experienced and diverse team that includes instructional designers, consultants, producers and project managers.

As our Instructional Designer, you will report to a Manager and work with our team to create and develop engaging learning experiences. Also, you will use your expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and industry best practices to help our clients solve their strategic problems. We welcome individuals from a variety of settings including instructional design, technical writing and other learning and development fields. You will work onsite at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate and consult with peers and clients to analyze our business problems, organize information, and use solid design rationale to create appropriate solutions.

  • Communicate instructional recommendations and consult with clients from a variety of departments across the Federal Reserve.

  • Develop creative learning solutions through a partnership with the team and clients.

  • Find and mitigate risks as opportunities to ensure delivery of a successful product and experience.

  • Establish relationships with clients and peers to provide a positive customer experience.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred, in instructional design or commensurate experience.

  • 5 years' experience working in an instructional design role or learning and development.

  • Familiarity with instructional design technology tools and best practices.

  • Excellent business writing, consulting, and communication skills.

  • Candidates with less experience may be considered at a lower job grade or salary.

  • Travel (5%)

Salary: 103,000 – 115,000
