Position: Principal Product Manager



Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066



Duties: Design, lead, and manage Walmart Search product and Search engine optimization to meet the business and technical needs of sellers on Walmart Marketplace. Help increase Walmart's gross merchandise value by bringing more customer traffic to drive sales. Evaluate current search platforms and identify gaps that prevent marketplace sellers to improve the search ranking of high-potential items. Draft hypothesis and conduct data analysis to validate new algorithmic features across item retrieval, ranking, and search experience for sellers and customers on Walmart Marketplace. Build data tools to generate meta data titles, descriptions, and keywords and improve the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) equity of Marketplace item pages for both internal and external searches. Perform competitor analysis to understand industry benchmarks and incorporate them in seller projects. Perform data analysis to size business opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to enable product features to improve seller experience and performance on the platform. Manage cross-functional stakeholders across operations, business, and sales teams to drive strategic changes. Conduct data analysis to understand the performance of Marketplace sellers on the internal platform and across conversion funnels. Prepare reports and insights for senior management to drive strategic change. This position does not supervise employees.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 7 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 9 years of experience in product management.



Skills required: Experience evaluating new technologies and product features to improve business outcomes via efficiency and automation. Experience driving customer needs and user acceptance criteria to drive technology adoption. Experience driving data driven decisions to improve business outcomes and test business hypothesis. Experience designing minimum viable products to drive product discovery and build product roadmaps to scale solutions. Experience with hypothesis framing and problem structuring. Experience designing product strategy and roadmaps. Experience with business intelligence tools, including Tableau. Experience driving new business insights using analytics and visualization tools, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience quantifying business opportunities using statistical models and trend forecasting based on historical data and trends analysis. Experience with Change Management to drive process improvement and automation. Experience with Operations Management. Experience with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development and Management. Experience with Stakeholder Management to drive consensus and influence strategic decisions. Experience drafting executive-level materials and communications. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $154,357/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
