The Remediation Tracking and Control Specialist serves as the gatekeeper to the action planning monitoring process in the AuditBoard tracking system in an effort to minimize organizational risk management and gap remediation They ensure corrective actions are completed within established timelines, provide support to the bank’s corporate manual program and onsite regulatory examination/review due diligence/logistics, as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Include and maintain action planning management of all issues tracked in the AuditBoard monitoring module. This includes, but it is not limited to audits (internal/external), second line of defense reviews, enterprise-wide risk assessments, and SOX remediation.
Coordinate the end-to-end issue management of all second line of defense reviews, partnering with unit heads to ensure corrective action plan requirements comply with organization’s issue management requirements.
Drive monthly collaborative and proactive issue tracking workflows to all business/support units to ensure management objectives are met timely in order to minimize organizational risk mitigation and gaps.
Manage and maintain issue management inventory current and updated. Generate weekly progress status reports to the supervisor.
Proactively elevate any foreseen challenges or unresolved issues identified with issue owners to supervisor for further vetting with Executive Management Committee members to achieve a resolution.
Provides ad-hoc Committee, regulatory, management reporting, as needed.
Support on-site regulatory examination and/or review due diligence requirements and/or logistics, as needed.
In conjunction with Supervisor, supports the organization’s annual policy/standards program and drives annual manual attestation process with all manual owners.
Assist in the development/maintenance of related procedures within the unit and supports ad-hoc reporting and/or analysis, as deemed necessary.
Work Experience Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a comparable role within the financial services industry
Experience using GRC/Risk tools
Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Technical Knowledge:
Applied knowledge of the AuditBoard System Proven ability to analyze and process data and develop engaging presentations Applied knowledge of banking principles, accounting and audit Proven experience handling confidential matters Proficient using the Microsoft Office Product Suite, including: MS Outlook, MS Excel (Advanced Level), MS PowerPoint and MS SharePoint
