The Driver Trainee Program consist of 5 to 6 week of DOT driving training with the Driver Trainer/Mentor. The Training will include training on operating a Tractor to transport cargo to and from specified destinations (customer location, airports or trucking terminals) in a safe and efficient manner. The Training Program will consist of hands-on tractor-trailer driving training and is applicable for recent CDL School graduates that have under 6 months driving experience. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values

Back up to the dock
Perform walk around inspections
High Way Operations - Be familiar with the loading locations
City and Rural Driving

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations and Company policy. Must meet the physical requirements established by the DOT and have or be able to provide a current valid medical card
Minimum one year industry experience preferred
Skills:
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to operate a dolly, forklift, hand trucks, lift-gate and pallet jacks.
Ability to read and interpret maps. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
Ability to understand highway traffic signals and signs.
Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents.
Effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations. •
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
Balances team and individual responsibilities.
