Under the supervision of the Senior Manager Safety/Risk/PFR, the Quality Specialist works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff and other key stakeholders in facilitating the processes related to case review, report-writing, data entry and analysis and performance improvement. Responsible for the review of individual medical records for the purpose of abstracting and documenting key data elements related to peer review.
Qualifications
• Presentation skills; verbal and written communication skills; report writing skills; proficiency in navigating Epic EHR; computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and other programs needed for data management required
• Advanced computer skills in Excel, Powerpoint preferred
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience required
• Peer Review/Quality Assurance experience; ICU or med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Bachelors Degree in nursing required
• Unencumbered Massachusetts nursing license required
