Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Superintendent in planning, managing, and implementing schedules to meet deadlines..
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors..
- Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.
- Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and standards.
- Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
- Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
- Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and assist in its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and building codes.
- Participate in meetings to discuss construction progress and project scheduling.
- Maintain project documentation and daily logs.
- Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or vocational school program, ideally in a construction-related field required.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related major preferred.
- 3+ years heavy construction experience.
- Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
