Supervise a field survey party engaged in establishing base lines and line & grade
Make topographic surveys and supervise a field survey party in staking out
Perform & check calculations and keeps field notes & records, compute quantities
Review plans and specification related to surveying
Ensure that the survey party observes departmental safety rules and regulations
Make detailed sketches to aid drafting personnel in preparation of plans and drawings
Attend department meetings as required
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to comprehend basic civil engineering design plan
Possess and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license
HS diploma or GED, preferably supplemented by vocational/college coursework related to the field, plus three years of experience using survey instruments, or any similar combination of education and experience
Knowledge of the following:
Field survey methods, materials, instruments, equipment, and procedures
