Oversees the running of the project in a safety capacity: ensuring we are following safe procedures and keeping everyone out of harm's way.
Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across the project, functions, and locations (areas and segments).
Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
Making sure project follows safety specifications mandated by contract, state, and federal agencies.
Making sure work environment is safe environment for all employees.
Effectively develop and apply the core skills to the job.
Assists or gives safety training for individuals on site.
Meets expectations on attendance and punctuality.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years EHS work experience, with 5 years in similar industry.
Preference given to Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
24-hours formal safety training in past 5 years.
Bilingual Speaker (English/Spanish) preferred
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to interact professionally with employees and clients of various levels.
