Starting Pay $48,398.00 ($23.27/hr)
Now hiring at our Murrysville, PA manufacturing plant for a Test Equipment Calibrator. In this role you will be responsible for the following duties and report to the Quality Manager:
Calibrates and maintains test equipment throughout the plant, using precision measuring devices, and for other MSA sites and equipment with suppliers as applicable.
Performs troubleshooting & repairs / servicing of equipment, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, weight, pressure, vacuum or other measuring and indicating instruments, etc., for conformance to standards, and bring equipment in calibration as necessary.
Records and maintains results in GageTrak, etc. in accordance with MSA quality system (ref. QMS, MGR-07, etc.).
Coordinate all related calibrations with external partners or sources (i.e. Cal-Tec, OEMs, etc.).
Plan & communicate sequence of testing and calibration procedures for all related M&TE.
Participate on cross-functional, continuous improvement & NPD teams to identify test system needs, drive product testing designs, and manage build and production launch of new systems.
Responsible for writing, updating and adhering to plant calibration procedures & work instructions.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Ability to:
calibrate and service industrial measurement & test equipment.
read schematics, procedures, and specifications to troubleshoot systems.
interpret & apply engineering specifications, agency requirements, and industry standards.
develop and execute test plans to verify production equipment prior to release.
multi-task and work independently in an industrial environment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits & systems, problem-solve.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency when responding to customer support requests.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to provide timely technical updates to production operators, technicians, engineers, and managers.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work with teams of associates.
2 years Calibration experience in industrial operations, with applicable measurement & test equipment.
Education:
Minimum 2 year Associate degree – relevant technical degree from ABET accredited institution.
ASQ Certified Calibration Technician preferred.
