RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Burlington, WI.

Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in an organization's financial operations. The Staff Accountant utilizes their skills in Month End Close, Internal Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to keep the organizations financials accurate. This Role in necessary for clear lines of communication between Finance and the rest of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Month End Close: Staff Accountant is critical to the ME close process; Tasks include GL account reconciliation, Job Cost Entries, Loan Tie-outs, and Fixed Asset reconciliation with external accounting firm


• Business Reporting: Staff Accountant is the facilitator for monthly AR Aging meetings; Provides monthly safety net reporting; Also help with the cash reporting process


• Accounts Payable: Staff Accountants maintain a record of accounts payable; Handle issuing invoices, updating account statements, and resolving discrepancies; Print and has non-job-related checks approved by a signatory


• Accounts Receivable: Handle issuing invoices, updating account statements, and resolving discrepancies; Assist PMs in the creation of T&M bills; Maintains the monthly billing process for RSC


• Staff Accountants assists in booking monthly entries and helps prepare financial reports, taxes, and audits; This includes intercompany entries and reconciliation


• Confidential Information: While not responsible for an organization's financial practices, they may have access to confidential financial information; Continually improves and sustains the -Culture- of an organization

Accountabilities:

• Month End Close facilitator


• Fixed Asset Management along with maintaining the Debt Schedule


• Ability to Reconcile both general and sub-ledger accounts


• Accounts Payable Accuracy


• Accounts Receivable Accuracy and Integrity

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance


• Proficiency in Accounting software


• Data entry


• Understanding of Job Costing


• Strong attention to detail


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong Excel skills or aptitude


• Continuous improvement mindset


• Ability to multi-task


• Previous experience in construction industry is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
