Job Summary
The 4-H Animal Science Specialist provides statewide leadership and guidance on, and has responsibility for, all UMass Extension 4-H Youth Development Animal Science programs. The position is an integral part of the UMass Extension 4-H Youth Development State Leadership team and is supervised by the UMass Extension 4-H Youth Development Program Director. The position manages the risk associated with working with youth ages 5-18, volunteers, small and large livestock, and equine programs and serves as the livestock specialist for 4-H programs and staff.
