As the VP of User Experience and Data Visualization, you will spearhead the collection of business requirements, craft intuitive workflows, and develop data-driven visual solutions that empower informed decision-making and narrate compelling business stories. You will lead the design strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prioritize user experience at the heart of business transformation. As it relates to business insights, the primary objective of the role is to democratize data and insights, empowering everyone at Cenlar, regardless of their technical expertise and data acumen, to work confidently with data through our enhanced Information Factory, fostering data-informed decisions and creating customer experiences driven by data. The individual will also create user interfaces for case management systems, views of customer history through a single pane of glass, and strong user experiences across different workflows. The individual will also provide input around the design of insights geared for clients, investors, shareholders, and Cenlar FSB's board of directors.
Responsibilities:
Establish the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience and associated UI and data visualization framework and assets across the organization.
Drive the development and presentation of design guidelines and pattern libraries.
Lead product design and visualization strategies across various projects, utilizing Design Thinking techniques to foster innovation and user-centric solutions.
Engage with Agile Squad Product Owners, gather and translate business requirements into actionable product designs, ensuring alignment with agile principles.
Prototype user-centric workflows and data visualization tools for developers (key technology platforms used include Power BI, Tableau, Decisions, and other relevant platforms).
Oversee design sprints and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product, user, and client experiences through iterative and agile processes.
Advocate for and integrate UX principles across the company's product portfolio, emphasizing continuous improvement and user feedback.
Manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment with data teams to develop insights-driven solutions.
Elevate the design IQ and champion quality digital experiences throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 10 years' experience, which includes:
Proven experience in design and data visualization, with a focus on business transformation using Design Thinking techniques.
Expertise in user-centered design, information architecture, and workflow automation, with a strong emphasis on agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience with tools like Figma, Power BI, and Sketch, and the ability to build comprehensive design systems.
Experience leading teams and driving UX improvements through iterative design sprints.
Knowledge of regulated industries, preferably financial services or mortgage services.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in leadership roles involving design and data analytics, with a focus on agile ways of working.
Expertise in creating seamless user experiences that increase adoption and engagement, leveraging Design Thinking principles.
Strong ability to build and maintain a design-driven culture across remote teams, fostering collaboration and innovation
