Title: Tenure-Track Professor in Earth's Surface Processes

Position Description: The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences ( EPS ) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in surface processes that influence the solid Earth. These processes are broadly defined and include volcanism, geomorphology, hydrology, cryosphere studies and natural and anthropogenic interactions with land surfaces. Possible approaches include field, laboratory, computational, and theoretical studies. We seek to attract an individual who will establish an innovative research program and teach both undergraduate and graduate students.

Basic Qualifications: A doctorate or terminal degree in a field of science related to Earth's surface processes is required by the expected start date of July 1, 2025.

Additional Qualifications: We also seek candidates who have a strong commitment to teaching.
