A Day in the Life
The person in this role may work remotely within the US or onsite at a US-based Medtronic facility.

As an event producer, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of Medtronic's global strategic meetings and event management program both in-person and digitally. We are seeking a high-energy, detailed-oriented team member who is a big thinker and is comfortable balancing many moving pieces at once.

  • Uses expertise in customer service and event production technical knowledge and skills to provide on-site support to event stakeholders and staff.

  • Project manage Medtronic's global, hybrid client marquee events including but not limited to, general sessions, breakouts, product/exhibit hall, virtual experience and platform, executive engagement and other unique client experiences.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, partners, venues, and production companies.

  • Research new event industry best practices and analyzing target audiences to choose appropriate marketing mediums to impact outreach, acquisition, engagement, and understanding among event attendees.

  • Uses extensive event production knowledge to manage all aspects of event technology platforms ranging from lighting and stage design, to video and audio engineering.

  • Negotiates contracts with event venues for preferential pricing and specific event service requirements including labor and equipment.

  • Assists meeting planners with event logistics prior, during, and post event by planning show flow, providing technical recommendations, assigning staff, arranging transport, and reviewing venues.

  • Organize video production and broadcast to facilitate the future development of content creation.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years of experience

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)


  • 5+ years of experience in an audiovisual or IT support setting.

  • 5+ years of experience in meetings and/or conference event management role at a large company, non-profit, association or event agency experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with live event production, stagecraft, lighting and sound design.

  • Extensive troubleshooting and signal flow understanding for large events with multiple display paths, switching routes, sound reinforcement requirements, and many other key skills for an exciting audience experience.

  • Knowledge of studio on-location video production, including camera operation, keying, as well as sound and lighting design.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several services projects.

  • Work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude.

  • Ability to operate and carry audiovisual equipment (up to 50 lbs).

  • Demonstrated skill with video editing software platforms, specifically proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience working effectively with global cross-functional teams and build trusting relationships with your peers.

  • Experience with live video streaming.

  • Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities.

  • Experience negotiating pricing contracts.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$75,000.00 - $90,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
